Come and dine in our warm 16th century bar and restaurant with unique character that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We work closely with our suppliers to source fresh quality produce all year round with a wide variety of sustainable products. Onley Butchers provide our meats for our mouth watering Sizzling Sirloin Steaks, Steak On The Rocks & our Traditional Sunday Carvery.

Alongside our delicious Homemade food we offer a variety of Wine ranging from a smooth, Fruity New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to a Full Bodied Argentinean Malbec, which is produced straight from our Family Vineyard in Mendoza.

WE HAVE A NEW ALL DAY MENU which has a selection of Burgers, Steaks and delicious fish dishes. The menu also consists of Gluten Free options & Vegetarian dishes to cater for all requirements.

As the Easter Holidays is in full swing we have created a new Children’s Menu which is served all day everyday including a Kids Sunday Carvery.

Easter Sunday 2019

Easter is a time of year for Families to enjoy the surrounding area for Treasure Hunts, eat Chocolate and having holidays. We at The Golden Lion offer a deliciously served 2 or 3 course Sunday Lunch for all the family to relax.

STEAK ON THE ROCKS

How it works : Make your selection from the menu.
It will be presented Seared on both sides along with Ciabatta Bread served with Olive Oil & balsamic Vinegar, Seasonal Salad & Thinly Cut French Fries.
Remove meat or fish from the hot rock and place on the white dish. Slice pieces off as required and cook on rock.
Continue to cook your chosen dish on the hot rock until it is cooked how you like it.
Remember the stones are extremely hot so please do not touch!  In order to avoid your food sticking to the rock, we use Ground Natural Himalayan Rock Salt.

Bookings are advisable.
